About The Club
How many people do you
meet with and regularly surf with? One...? Two...? Three...? Ten...?
Twenty...?
Well that's how it all started!!
Strangers ( and some would say 'you couldn't get much stranger' ) who
all shared the same passion for surfing the traditional Long or
Malibu boards, who wanted to share their experiences ('It was
eight foot, and I was going sideways and every thing..'), pass on tips
and techniques ('You don't want to do it like that... you want to do it
like this') and just wanted to have fun, were drawn together.
And after a while, the strangers weren't strangers any more.... they were friends, and when you have a large group of friends that surf together, one of them is bound to mention those magic words... Surf Club.
And that's how it's finished!!...... the Scarborough Malibu Surf Club was formed.
More Than Just A Longboard Club.....
Today
the club is made up those who have a passion for all styles
of surfing, from Shortboards to Retros what
ever your stick is you'll find someone who shares your
interest. The club is open to all abilities and ages whether
your a complete beginner or Pro.
As well as all things surfing, the club is also very active in fund raising for various local and international charities.
So why not come along, you'll be sure to get a warm welcome.
